Ronald McDonald House Charities® of the Intermountain Area surrounds families with the support they need to be near and care for their seriously ill or injured children. We provide a home-away-from-home to ease daily burdens and empower families of hospitalized children with meaningful experiences and quality time together. Since 1988, we have helped families to stay close – in a place that feels like home through our two core programs: Ronald McDonald House® and Ronald McDonald Family Room®. The Ronald McDonald House is a home away from home for families so they can stay close to their hospitalized child for days, weeks even months. The Ronald McDonald Family Room offers parents a place to rest and regroup right at the hospital, just steps from their child’s bedside.

The first Ronald McDonald House in Utah was opened in 1988 to care for parents and families supporting seriously ill or injured children. In the past thirty years, Ronald McDonald House Charities® of the Intermountain Area (RMHC) has served over 80,000 families – some 40,000 in the last five years alone, thanks to sustained growth and steady, enthusiastic community support. Last year we provided care, comfort, and support to 11,531 families who came to stay while their children were undergoing treatment. Today the Charity operates a 72-room House, two Family Rooms located in Primary Children’s Hospital, and two Hospitality Carts – all dedicated to helping families be stronger together.
Thank you, for your help in making a positive impact on the world.
