Massive Timber Frame DIY Pavilion Kit Installed in California
With the Western Timber Frame™ patent pending design The Dovetail Difference™ these massive size timbers have a 500% greater strength and load capacity compared to traditional hangers.
This is a 16' x 17'3" OverSize timber frame DIY pavilion kit that was installed for some wonderful shade over a backyard patio in beautiful California. Western Timber Frame™ is famous for our massively oversized solid wood pergola kits because of the thicker size of the posts and beams. These kits expand the value and with its distinct design and unique features are far more durable than even time-proven techniques implemented in conventional timber frame.
Our new pavilion is absolutely beautiful. We could not be happier with it or with the service provided by the Western Timber Frame™ and Jason Warner. I spent many months looking into options for a pavilion and considered many online companies as well as local contractors and WTF seemed to offer the best product for a great price. The quality of the lumber is very good and installation was very easy. I would highly recommend renting a material lift to help lift the heavy beams into place. The size and weight of our beams were too much for 3 people to handle safely. The $80/day material lift made it unbelievable easy and fast. Jason was great to work with and made the process very easy. He spent a lot of time on many different phone calls verifying measurements and dimensions to ensure that it was a proper fit. My biggest concern was that the pavilion was going to look like an afterthought and not blend with our house.
Thanks to Jason and his attention to detail, it ended up fitting exactly as it should and looks amazing.
I would highly recommend Western Timber Frame™ products and Jason Warner. --Shaun Ferrell
