Home Owners Association Poolside Pavilion For Shade

This pavilion is a six post structure. It is actually stained in our Rich Cordoba and its a gable structure. It also has a one by six tongue and groove for a sub straight on the roof which gives it a finished look from underneath. This pavilion is also kind of unique. We normally don’t have railing on a pavilion but his will have railing on the East side; which will separate and designate that area that is for eating from the swimming pool area.
As we put our timber kits together we’ll cut each individual post to the exact length it needs to be so that the pavilion will be perfectly level when its done. We also stain the freshly cut ends so that it is sealed off to keep the water out. Keeping a job site clean is very important to the safety of our guys and for our customers.

After we get a few of the posts up we will start setting the support beams and just locking this thing together. It goes together just one piece at a time. We’ll set a few posts and then set a couple of beams. Set the next posts and this is the last support beam that they will need to set. The Dovetail Difference™ connection just slides right into the post on each side.

We are installing the king post on the gable end there. This is the center portion of the gable and that slides down right over that support beam. Then we set the rafters on the gable end locking into the king post. Once they get the rafters set in on the gable end then they will set the ridge beams next. They will brace everything up and make sure it is perfectly level. The ridge tails are dovetailed on each end like this.

So this is our finished product. Looks beautiful. Everything went simple which is pretty typical for our jobs when we pre-cut for our jobs the installation goes very simply. You can see that its got the tongue and groove underneath that we talked about, gives it that finished look. It is stained to match the posts and beams. We have our Crescent Step beam profile on this project. You can also see the railing that we talked about which is kind of unusual for a pavilion. And just a beautiful project. I think they are really going to enjoy having this at their pool side here.
